When I was pregnant with my son, my sweet tooth clicked on, and it has yet to turn off. Funny enough, I’m 15 months post giving birth, and I’m still sneaking off to Baskin Robbins to grab a treat. They get me though, over there at Baskin Robbins, scooping up my delicious treat without an ounce of judgement.
I love them even more knowing that Baskin Robbins is taking it up a notch this Veteran’s Day. Behind the scenes at their amazing company, they support the troops through several inspiring programs.
And now you have the opportunity to join in!
Here’s the scoop:
On November 11, Baskin Robbins is donating 10 cents from every ice cream scoop sold in each and every ice cream shop located in the United States.
So whether you make a purchase on or off base, Baskin Robbins will donate to support the United Service Organization (USO) in honor our amazing U.S. troops and veterans. Personally, I love knowing that my ice cream guilty pleasure is actually doing something good for others.
Why support the USO?
The USO is such an amazing organization for military service members and their families. Every day the USO brightens the spirits of American’s troops and their families at hundreds of places around the world, streamlining access to much needed programs and services.
As a military family we live far from our friends and family, and travel is a must. During our family travels throughout the U.S., we’ve visited many USO airport lounges, and they all offer amazing support to military families. We were able to get a warm meal, snacks to-go, and a comfortable place to relax and play with our son during our long travel layovers. When you are traveling with kids the USO is pretty much a lifesaver. This is just one out of thousands of ways the USO helps military families every day.
You can help too!!
All you have to do is head to your local Baskin Robbins ice cream shop on Veteran’s Day (November 11), and 10 cents of every ice cream scoop will go the the USO. You can choose from their extensive menu of ice cream flavors, ice cream cakes, frozen beverages and sundaes.
You could also get their November Flavor of the Month “First Class Camouflage,” which features a chocolate, salty caramel, and cake-flavored ice cream. To top it all off, you can even get your ice cream in a special camouflage waffle cone and waffle bowl, decorated in green, tan, and brown. I seriously think the camouflage ice cream is so cool!!
If you want to take it up a notch further, you could also enjoy a Baskin Robbins First Class Camouflage Layered Sundae, which is made of OERO cookie pieces, caramel praline topping, hot fudge and topped off with whipped cream.
So be sure to head over to one of Baskin Robbins’ 2,500 shops in the United States and support the USO and military families this Veteran’s Day with a simple gesture and enjoy some amazingly delicious ice cream at the same time. Personally, I’ll be heading over and ordering the Flavor of the Month “First Class Camouflage.”
